I am a young aspiring writer currently working on a novel(s) and lots of other side projects.
I write under two pseudonyms. Why? Well, firstly because I have a crazy obsession with names and what they mean.Secondly, I'd like to keep the genres separate, and last but not least I just want to!
Mari Rum's the name I use for most of my work, it's not really genre specific, under this title anything goes.
When I'm in my Zen let's-change-the-world-zone, I write under A. Smarts, A is for Adhiambo. Under this name I usually write self-help and chic-lit. ;)
I like to think of myself as an eclectic writer. I guess that stems from my eccentric taste in literature, they, whoever "they" are, say write what you love to read, so I do precisely that! Generally I read everything,from rain-beaten posters on muddy walls to comments on Internet posts to any remotely interesting book I can lay my hands on; I tend to favor works by Roald Dahl, Chimamanda Adichie, Arundhati Roy, J.K Rowling, Isabelle Allende, Meg Cabot amongst others.
On this blog you'll find the results of my indulgence in my over-active imagination in pursuit of my dreams and my experiences on the journey to achieve said dreams. Hopefully, you'll be rightfully entertained! Have a look around :)
